Finally my OJT (On-the-Job-Training) is finally done. I gained a lot of things and I learned how to
deal with people especially those professionals. I had my OJT at Bicol University College of Agriculture and Forestry
of Guinobatan, Albay. At first, I was nervous and all and it’s hard for
me to wake up too early and ride all along to office and specially riding a Polangui/Oas/Ligao
Jeepney in the “Rush Hours” but as time goes by my
body is now used to my daily routine.
On our first day (July 3, 2013) we had our
orientation where we talked about the mandates
of the organization, the policies, benefits, codes of conducts, etc. But then on the first day we experience epic fail
moments. But on the succeeding day Sir Alwin Joseph Maceres, (BUCAF Planning Officer) route us to the
whole company for us to be familiar with the
place, he introduced us to our concerned sections for the proposed system like the
personnel unit ,etc. Employees there are very professional and friendly enough.
They are also thoughtful share as their knowledge even their snacks.
As time goes by, as day passed by,
we get used to our daily routine, to wake up early, ride Polangui jeep, do our
task like doing the cor and transcript ( 1st month, registrar’s
office), arranging files and do office work (2nd and 3rd
month, dean’s office), and to encode the
Property Acknowledgement Receipt (PAR) (4th
month, supply’s office) of
all the employee in BUCAF and programming our proposed system. We also had our funny moments.
Last September 25-27, BUCAF
requested us to attend their international conference as a technical staff held
at Oriental Hotel, Legazpi City. It was an unforgettable experience we really
did enjoy our job, we love it.
Indeed, my OJT experience would be a
life-changing one and it’s an opportunity that nobody should miss.
